I’m starting to realize that my cell phone is out of date. So, I’m looking to get a new one soon-ish.
My current cell phone is an LG VX6000 through US Cellular. For the purposes of talking on the phone, it gets the job done just fine. I don’t use the easyedge features. I wish it were a bit more customizable. It only supports MIDI sound that I’m aware of. The only way I’ve found to add my own music is to buy this USB cable off ebay, and use some open source software to access it, but even then I can’t completely customize.
As far as US Cellular goes, their service is nice and affordable, but they don’t have that much in phone selection.
I am a tech geek and would like to be able to do more with my phone. Internet access, email, MP3 support, customizable, and affordable. I don’t necessarily want an iPhone, I hear they aren’t that great for tech guys. An easy to use QWERTY board would be nice too. Where should I look? Willing to pay more for the phone, but not the monthly fees.
I guess some more good things to mention.. I would like it to be relatively compact. I prefer to carry cell phones in my pant pocket, and not so much on the belt.. I could deal with it if its worth it though.
Also, it would be nice if it wouldn’t go out of date within months of buying it.
