I am thinking of getting a phone such as the new Samsung Omnia (or a similar iPhone-esq device), but i keep hearing how you have to pay an added monthly charge to get the “Data service”. What is the deal with this? Is it worth it? What do I get? And how much more are we talking in price?

Also, With all these phones coming out that seem similar, (Omnia, Dare, Glyde, HTC) which ones have you found to be better, In paticular, the Omnia?
