Should I buy a smart phone or a PDA?

smart phone
denton1993 asked:

I don’t need email but something for my calender and contacts. I use both on a daily basis and I have a lot of contacts to keep up with. I need to be able to use it with my work laptop. I am not sure if should buy a PDA or get a smart phone. Which is the more practical purchase since you can get them at about the same price?
