I want a smart phone that is small like the blackberry pearl and doesn’t have a complete qwerty keyboard so that I don’t look dorky or nerdy but I still have a cool phone. I heard that blackberry phones are good for personal and business use, but alot of people recommend getting a different smart phone brand for personal use. I was wondering if all of the other smart phones have the full qwerty heyboard, or if there was another smart phone like that. I don’t care which carrier.

My current cell phone is an LG VX6000 through US Cellular. For the purposes of talking on the phone, it gets the job done just fine. I don’t use the easyedge features. As far as US Cellular goes, their service is nice and affordable, but they don’t have that much in phone selection.

I am a tech geek and would like to be able to do more with my phone. Internet access, email, MP3 support, customizable, and affordable. I don’t necessarily want an iPhone, I hear they aren’t that great for tech guys. An easy to use QWERTY board would be nice too. Where should I look? Willing to pay more for the phone, but not the monthly fees.
I guess some more good things to mention.. I would like it to be relatively compact. I prefer to carry cell phones in my pant pocket, and not so much on the belt.. I could deal with it if its worth it though.

Also, it would be nice if it wouldn’t go out of date within months of buying it.
